The complainant stated an unknown suspect entered her mother's rental property by forcing open a side door. The residence was recently vacated by the former tenants who possibly returned to retrieve additional property.

The complainant stated he works for the real estate company that checks on the vacant foreclosed properties owned by Atlantic Realty. He stated an unknown suspect entered the location and took the Maytag washer and dryer from the home. No forced entry was reported.
516 Beat: 10-20-09, 1615 hrs 1627 hrs, Townsend Place, Powder Springs, Ga. 30127. The complainant stated he observed a black male suspect standing at the end of the driveway of the incident location. A white four door car, possibly a KIA, was seen leaving the location. The car was possibly occupied by a white male and two black females. Upon checking the residence, officers discovered forced entry to a door leading in to the garage.

The suspects broke the glass and then unlocked the window to gain entry. The following items were reported missing: Zenith 32 flat screen TV, Play station 2 game system, Play station portable, Nintendo portable game system and an Apple laptop computer.

517 BEAT: 10-14-09, while conducting an active burglary investigation, the suspect was called on his cell phone to set up an interview time to meet with investigators. The suspect did not know that he was speaking to the police at the time and automatically assumed he was speaking to an acquaintance who he offered to sell marijuana. The investigators learned of the suspect's location and uniform officers positioned themselves in the area. The suspect was spotted and immediately fled on foot upon seeing the uniformed officers approaching. Zone 5 officers, along with VIPER officers conducted a search of the area and later located the suspect at his home. The suspect was taken in to custody without incident and charged with obstruction and the use of a communication facility for the purpose of violating provisions prohibited. The burglary investigation continues.

The complainant stated two male suspects attempted to leave the business with eight thirty packs of Budweiser beer and other items. The complainant stated an employee confronted the suspects who left in a red Chevrolet Blazer.
511 Beat: 07-20-09, 1400 hrs 09-17-09, 1800 hrs, Due West Crossing, Whisperwood Lane, Marietta , Ga. 30064. The victim was away from home and returned to find his X-Box 360, 80gb hard drive, Wii games and cables missing.

*** ARREST ***
510 Beat: 10-15-09, 0130 hrs, Morning watch officers responded to an entering auto dispatch in the Starr Lake subdivision. A look out was given and officers spotted the vehicle on County Line Road . Officers took the three suspects in to custody without incident. Their subsequent investigation resulted in the recovery of a stolen GPS unit and other stolen items that were returned to the owner. CIU 5 Detectives conducted interviews with the suspects and obtained additional information regarding the whereabouts of additional stolen property. The target areas of the suspects were the Camden Pointe Subdivision, Starr Lake Subdivision and Stonekirk Subdivision. Investigators conducted a successful search for the stolen property and they too were returned to the owners. As a result of the ongoing investigation two additional cases were cleared by the uniform arrest. Criminal warrants and a JCF were filed on the three suspects charging them with multiple entering autos and thefts. This was great team work by all involved!

Arrest: Case# 09115732- Det. Sullivan developed leads on an earlier Burglary case that had taken place at Lost Mountain Baptist Church . In investigating similar cases, Det. Sullivan located two suspects that were in custody at the Paulding County Jail. Detectives met with the suspects and obtained confessions for this burglary. Based on the confessions the majority of the stolen property has been located and returned to the church.

Cobb County CIU 5 Detectives arrested two juveniles after the two were found to be responsible for twenty cases in which they damaged homes by throwing rocks and mailboxes through the front windows.
One of the juveniles was charged with Aggravated Assault, Criminal Damage to Property (6cts), Criminal Trespass (9cts), Theft by Taking (7cts) and Curfew violation (2cts).
The second juvenile was charged with Aggravated Assault, Criminal Damage to Property (6cts), Criminal Trespass (7cts), Theft by Taking (7cts) and Curfew Violation.
