516 Beat: 07-20-2008 1330 hours to 07-21-2008 0730 hours, Wynford Drive; Person(s) unknown removed the victm's wallet from the residence. Victim suspects friends of his daughter.
Entering Autos:
516 Beat: 07-20-2008 2228 hours to 2242 hours, 2051 Lost Mountain Road , (Oxford Academy Preschool); A white male was captured on video siphoning gas from the school buses at the school. The suspect damaged the bus by attempting to pry the seal around the filler neck of the gas tank. The suspect can be seen pulling into the parking lot possibly in a tan colored Toyota Corolla.
Criminal Trespass:
511 Beat: 07-20-2008 2114 hours, Lost Mountain Lane; Complaint called police and advised there were three juveniles in a residence he was house sitting. Ofc . Polizzi responded and met with the complainant. Cpl. Contreras and Ofc . Chatham responded to the area to check for the suspects. Entry was made into the residence through an unlocked rear door. The suspects left without taking anything from the residence. Cpl. Contreras and Ofc . Chatam located the three suspects in Foxwerthe Subdivision. The three suspects were subsequently arrested and charged with criminal trespass. The Officers are to be commended for a job well done.

The suspect showed the clerk a large handgun in the waist band of his pants. The suspect then reached into the cash drawer of the register and removed currency. The suspect got into a white S-10 Chevy Blazer or GMC Jimmy with an unknown tag number.

510 Beat: 07-17-2008 1830 hours to 07-18-2008 1830 hours, Kennesaw Due West Road; Person(s) unknown entered the residence through a screen door. Once inside the residence the suspect(s) removed currency that was hidden in a Bible.
512 Beat: 07-18-2008 2230 hours to 07-19-2008 1030 hours, Wood Park Drive; Person(s) unknown entered the victim's garage by an unknown means. Once inside the garage the suspect(s) entered the victim's vehicle. The suspect(s) then removed a purse from the vehicle. The suspect(s) did not enter the residence.

514 Beat: 07-14-2008 1159 hours, Chauncey Lane; Victim advises that three black males came to the front door and knocked. When the victim did not answer the door the suspects went to the basement door and kicked it open. Once inside the residence the three suspects went into the bedrooms and stole a Game Cube and controller and 4 cell phones. The suspects are described as black males between 601 and 603 and were seen leaving in a black SUV possibly a Jeep Cherokee with a roof mounted luggage rack.

211 Beat: 07/01/2008 1820 hrs to 07/01/2008 1832 hrs. 2667 Powder Springs Road ( Spring Package Store ) 4 male suspects shoplifted liquor from the business and were seen leaving in a maroon Nissan Maxima. A look out was given and the suspects were followed by a complainant. Uniform patrol initiated a traffic stop and conducted an investigation on the theft. Radio further advised that the suspect had removed a riding lawnmower and was currently riding it down the street. Ofc . Bartlett arrived on scene and observed the suspect get off the mower and begin to run. Ofc . Bartlett was able to catch up to the suspect and take him into custody. Ofc . Bartlett is to be commended for a job well done.

Victim was advised that a blue Ford F-150 pickup pulled into her driveway, the driver exited the vehicle and removed the victim's flag. One male distracted the employees while a second male removed 20 to 40 DVD's. All three males got into a black SUV with the possible tag W19V0T possibly out of Florida .

217 Beat: 06-22-2008 1425 hours to 1435 hours, 4250 Macland Road, (Long River Chinese Restaurant); Suspect entered the restaurant and asked for a cup of water. The suspect then grabbed the tip jar and a cell phone that were on the counter and ran out of the restaurant. An off duty Cherokee Deputy ran after the suspect who was able to get away.

Meeks went to the suspect's residence and met with two juvenile suspects. The suspects admitted to breaking the rear window with a rock and showed Ofc . Meeks where they had hid the property. The two juveniles also implicated the third juvenile who also admitted to the burglary. The three suspects were subsequently charged with burglary. Ofc . Meeks did an excellent job of following up on the suspect information and is to be commended.

Gerjets was advised that a white male wearing black shorts and black shirt was seen walking in the area. Over the past two weeks a subject matching the description has been prowling in the area. Ofc . Gerjets was able to locate the juvenile suspect on the rear deck of a residence attempting to gain entry. After further investigation by Det. Sullivan and Ofc . Gerjets it was determined that the juvenile had attempted to gain entry into four houses in the Brookstone area over the past two weeks. The juvenile was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted burglary and loitering and prowling. Ofc . Gerjets and Det. Sullivan are to be commended for their efforts in this case.

513 Beat: 05-18-2008 1500 hours to 1645 hours, 1700 Dennis Kemp Lane, (YMCA); Victim advises that person(s) unknown entered his locked locker by an unknown means and removed his pants that contained his wallet, currency, car keys and Bolivia watch. Victim located is pants in a nearby locker minus the contents.

510 Beat: 05-18-2008 0020 hours to 0134 hours, Somerset Oaks Subdivision; Ofc. Yancy conducted a zone patrol of the subdivision at approximate 0020 hours and everything appeared normal. Ofc. Yancy went back through the subdivision at approximately 0134 hours and noticed that a garage door was partially open and lights were now on in a house under construction. Ofc . Yancy observed that person(s) unknown entered the residence and began to remove the copper air conditioning line.
513 Beat: 05-13-2008 1030 hours to 1100 hours, Old Dallas Road; Witness drove by his brother's house and observed a red Chevy S-10 pick up at the barn. The witness made contact with the two white males. The witness went to the house to let his brother know about the pick p and the pick up left.
513 Beat: 05-17-2008 2145 hours, Rifle Ridge, (Battle Creek Subdivision); Person(s) unknown damaged the residence by throwing eggs at it. Two witnesses were in the house and observed a white Chrysler four door diving by. The witnesses were able to catch up to the suspect vehicle and make contact with the occupants. One of the witnesses was hit with an egg thrown by a female in the back seat. The vehicle was described as a white Chrysler 300M.

514 Beat: 05-15-2008 2100 hours to 05-16-2008 0256 hours, Salem Court; Person(s) unknown entered two unlocked vehicles . Once inside the vehicle the suspect(s) rummaged through the vehicle and removed a wallet and a purse.

510 Beat: 05-05-2008 2400 hours to 05-15-2008 0800 hours, Mars Hill Road; Victim advises that a tenant had sold his two broken down trucks to a salvage yard without his permission.

511 Beat: 05-14-2008 0730 hours to 0830 hours, Stilesboro Road; Victim observed a white vehicle back up to her basement door. A black male exited the vehicle, entered the basement and removed a backpack blower. When the male was confronted he advised he was there for Justin, got back in the vehicle and drove off. The black male is described as 600/180 medium build 18-22 yoa , driving a white Chrysler Pacifica or Pontiac Vibe with a drive out tag.
512 Beat: 05-14-2008 1100 to 1300 hours, Hickory View Drive; Person(s) unknown forced entry through the screen of an open window. Once inside the residence the suspect(s) removed one Dell desktop computer and one Gateway desktop computer.
514 Beat: 04-12-2008 to 05-08-2008, Smith Avenue, (Horseshoe Bend Subdivision); Person(s) unknown entered the house by an unknown means. Once inside the residence the suspect(s) removed a TV, two DVD players and assorted jewelry.

512 Beat: 05-13-2008 1510 hours to 1530 hours, 2500 Dallas Highway, (West Cobb Wine and Sprits); Three black females entered the store with two children. One of the females distracted the clerk. The other two females took several bottles of liquor off of the shelves and hid them in their skirts. The group then left the store only paying for a small bottle of liquor. The theft was noticed several minutes later when the clerk was straightening the shelves.

515 Beat: 05-10-2008 2000 hours to to 05-12-2008 0600 hours, Old Lost Mountain Road; Person(s) unknown removed two bicycles from the victim's porch.
515 Beat: 05-01-2008 1700 hours to 05-09-2008 1000 hours, Living Springs Circle; Person(s) unknown removed a landscape trailer from a work site. There were also two Craftsman lawnmowers on the trailer.

Burglary Arrest:
512 Beat: 05-10-2008 1815 hours, Stilesboro Road; Victim advised that a black male came to her door and knocked on the door. By the time the elderly female reached the front door she observed the male walking down her driveway carrying a gas can that had been removed from her carport. The victim contacted her son who lives near-by. The son followed the suspect who was subsequently stopped by Ofc . R.M . Green from Pct. 1. The suspect was brought back to the residence and identified by the victim and her son. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary. Ofc . Green did an excellent job in this incident and is to be commended.
Burglaries:
510 Beat: 04-29-2008 1200 hours to 05-10-2008 1300 hours, Hiram Acworth Highway; Person(s) unknown entered the unlocked crawl space of the residence and removed two hundred feet of copper water line.
511 Beat: 05-08-2008 0800 hours to 05-09-2008 1200 hours, Due West Road; Person(s) unknown attempted to force entry into a barn. No entry was made. The suspect(s) did remove a John Deere log splitter and Yardman tiller.
514 Beat: 05-09-2008 1400 hours to 1830 hours, Berry Drive; Person(s) unknown entered the residence by kicking in the rear door. Once inside the residence the suspect(s) ransacked several rooms and removed a Sony Stereo, Dell laptop, and numerous pieces of jewelry. A red vehicle was seen in the driveway of the residence during the time of the burglary.
Thefts:
512 Beat: 05-09-2008 2240 hours to 2345 hours, Ernest Barrett Parkway, (Waffle House); A white male came into the restaurant and ate a meal. The suspect then left without paying.
514 Beat: 05-09-2008 2330 hours to 05-10-2008 0830 hours, Chancellors Drive, (Chancellors Ridge Subdivision); Person(s) unknown entered the victim's backyard and removed two bicycles.
