Dear Sgt. Cebula,
Thank you and your team for your dedication, diligence, courage,
thoroughness, and desire to protect and inform folks in Cobb County
and other locations. I live in precinct 1, my mother lives in precinct 5,
and my sister lives in precinct 3. We all deeply appreciate all of you.
Sincerely,

comment: I would like to thank you for having this service (PENS alert)
to be able to be informed of what's going on in the community, in Cobb
County. Not too long ago, we held a Neighborhood Watch meeting, at my
house, in the Horseshoe Creek subdivision, for my neighborhood-Galahad
Way. We had an informative Power Point presentation shown to us by
Officer Ballard. We were very appreciative. I hope that by
establishing the Neighborhood Watch, and keeping informed through the
PENS system, our community will be safe. Thank you for all you do.

A. S. Loftin
First and foremost, thank you for the job you do. My husband and I are retired and live in a s/d off John Ward Road. I have just been made aware of this web site. This is a great site that gives the community information we need to help ensure our safety and security. You never think about crime being in your neighborhood but there it was in the incident reports! It points up the fact that you can't let your guard down. We try to be vigilant and watch for strange cars/trucks in the neighborhood and are very wary of solicitors. Police drive-thrus in our s/d are a welcome sight but I know you can't be everywhere! We, as citizens, should also be ever alert to what's going on around us. Information from this site will alert us to activity that may not sound/look harmless until it is too late. Thanks.

I want to thank all the police officers and other personnel that make me feel safer in my community. I have learned valuable information from the PENS information. I lock my car, even if it's sitting in the garage. I close the garage door more. I lock my dead bolt when I leave the house, even to go for a walk in my neighborhood. I pay attention to my surroundings more than I did before. I'm not paranoid, just smarter.

I was born in Marietta 54 years ago and have seen many changes. I've been a RN since 1977 and have 3 children, all married, and 8 grandchildren. My husband works as the President of Local Lodge 709 at Lockheed-Martin. The point is, sometimes I get so consumed with work and family that I need someone to remind me to be safe. That's where your information has made a huge difference. I pass this information on to my family and friends. I teach my grandchildren to be careful and aware of their surroundings. I tell them some people make bad choices and get into trouble so we are helping to prevent that. And that keeping them safe is a way to show how much I love them. Besides, the car will not start until all seat belts are buckled!!
I will pray for your safety as you work everyday to protect us from harm. Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,
Carol Goen

Capt. Dempsey & Sgt. Cebula:
A short note of appreciation to let you know how much I enjoy receiving your PENS Alert. This publication raises my level of awareness about what's going on in the community and helps define what suspicious activity looks like. (I'm going out right now to make sure my truck's locked.) Keep up the good work!

comment: Really appreciate your efforts in reporting crime in our area.
I honestly didn't realize all that is going on right in my "backyard".
I check the website regularly, and pass on information to my friends and
neighbors.

From: Alecia Hawkins
To ALL involved in the operations of Precinct 5:
I would like to express my sincerest THANKS and GRATITUDE for all that you do on a daily basis to keep the citizens of this area safe and informed. Many years ago in my youth (!), I was a Police/EMS/Fire dispatcher for five years. I have seen much, heard much, experienced much in the way of police operations. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for all that each officer does on a daily basis, and I also have a good knowledge of the dangers involved. I know very well both the stresses and the rewards of your job. I want you to know that I TRULY appreciate each and every officer who puts himself on the line every day to ensure the safety of our citizens. Yours is often a thankless profession, but it is a truly noble calling. I THANK YOU for the job that you do every day. Thank you also for the PENS Alerts and for keeping us informed. May God bless you and keep you safe.
