Incident: Bank Robbery

 

Location: SunTrust Bank

1690 Powder Springs Rd

Marietta , Ga.

 

On 040109 @ 1559 hours, uniform officers from Precinct Five responded the SunTrust Bank, 1690 Powder Springs Road in Marietta .

The suspect entered the bank and immediately approached the teller. The suspect presented a note demanding money. When the clerk hesitated the suspect leaned across the counter repeated his demand for money and pushed the gun forward toward the teller. The barrel of the gun struck the teller in the head. The teller surrendered United States currency, at which time the suspect fled the scene on foot behind the shopping center.

 

Suspect Description: Light skinned black male 45-50 years of age, with possible birth mark or skin disease on his face. Last seen wearing a light colored baseball cap, tan and black jacket (possibly desert storm camouflage), blue jeans.
